Our Speaker
Dr. Romsland worked in multiple facets of the profession prior to vet school including client care, veterinary assisting, and eventually became a licensed veterinary technician and companion animal massage and physical rehabilitation practitioner. After several years in the industry, she decided to pursue veterinary school. She graduated from Washington State University in 2007 and went on to complete a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital of the ASPCA in NYC. Following that, she completed a clinical pathology residency back at Washington State University. For the first couple of years post residency, she worked in academics and diagnostics prior to becoming the staff clinical pathologist at Friendship Hospital For Animals in Washington, D.C. where she provided diagnostic support for GP, ER, and specialist clinicians for 9 years. She also became certified in veterinary acupuncture and completed her Master’s of Science in Veterinary Traditional Chinese Medicine through Chi University in Reddick, FL.

Our Speakers
Dr. Koshino grew up in Yokohama, Japan and received her veterinary degree from the University of Tokyo in 2005. It was during the clinical year at vet school that she developed a passion for oncology and after graduating, she moved to the Unites States to pursue further training. Following completion of a small animal rotating internship at Iowa State University, Dr. Koshino completed an oncology internship at Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centre in Calgary, Canada. She then completed an oncology residency at Michigan State University and received board certification in medical oncology in 2015. After completing her residency, Dr. Koshino worked at private practices in Chicago for 5 years and has been working in the Seattle area since 2019.

Our Speaker
Dr. Megan Davis was born and bred in the Pacific Northwest. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2010. She completed her rotating internship and emergency/critical care residency at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston and received board certification in emergency/critical care in 2014. She has since worked in private practice in the Bay Area and Seattle and has previously telemedicine consulted with other veterinarians on emergency/critical care patients. She chairs the identification and verification subcommittee for the Veterinary Committee on Trauma (VetCOT). Her clinical interests include trauma, critical care anesthesia, acute pain management, respiratory emergencies, antibiotic stewardship, and sepsis. Outside of work, she enjoys good food + wine, dabbling in dog training, travel, horseback riding, hiking, and is an avid reader.

Our Speaker
In his two decades of practice, Dr. Garraway has a wealth of experience in veterinary medicine, including research and publication in multiple journals. His professional interests include gastroenterology, hepatology, nephrology, management of infectious diseases, and the management of endocrinopathies. His interests and attention to detail have allowed him to hone his procedural skills in Internal Medicine, over the years, leading to his proficiency in endoscopy, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy, arthrocentesis, specialized biopsies, and bone marrow sampling.
His skill set is exceeded only by his sympathetic and empathetic approach to evidence-based medicine in management and treatment of his patients and communication with his clients. Dr. Garraway is accepting new patients!

Our Speaker
Becky is an LVT, CVT, and VTS (ECC) and has been in veterinary medicine since 2007. She has experience in general practice, exotics, internal medicine, neurology, and emergency medicine. In 2015, she earned her VTS in emergency and critical care while working as a technician at the University of Florida. Becky also has experience teaching veterinary technicians of the future after working as a Clinical Care Instructor at City College while in Gainesville. In April 2023, Becky moved across the country and joined Bellevue Veterinary Emergency and Specialty as their ECC Director of Nursing, providing excellent veterinary care, mentoring the team, and advocating for her patients. She’s been voted “Most Valuable Technician” by students during their clinical rotations, coordinated the UF’s ECC/ICU department’s annual Veterinary Technician Week and was the advisor for SCNAVTA while at City College.

CE Details: Review the basic and essential aspects of wound therapy while also giving both anecdotal and literature input on techniques. There is no one right way but there are mistakes that can occur. The goal is to allow an open platform for discussion on strategies to successfully manage various wound types in different situations.

Following completion of his residency and PhD at the University of Minnesota, he was on faculty at Louisiana State University and the University of California, Davis. He has been providing specialty services in the Seattle area since 2017 and is excited to return to a specialty and emergency hospital.
